BEAUTY: SHELL NAILS

Esta semana quería hacer un manicure inspirado en la playa usando conchas de mar trituradas! Y pues encontré este kit para uñas de Ciate en tiendas Xtra y esta fue la oportunidad perfecta para probarlo y darle un pequeño giro. Si no tienes el kit de uñas de Ciate, puedes buscar este tipo de conchas de mar en una tienda de manualidad o usar escarcha de la gruesa!

Materiales:
Ciate: Kit de conchas de mar / o escarcha gruesa
Esmalte color piel ( Essie “Spin the Bottle”)
Esmalte azul escarchado (Zoya “MOSHEEN”
Pegamento para uñas
Brillo de uñas (NCLA “Gloss It”
Paso 1
Pinta las uñas de tu dedo anular con una capa del esmalte azul escarchado y luego el resto de las uñas con el esmalte color piel. El azul escarchado es un recordatorio del océano y el color piel es un excelente color para contrastar la arena del mar!
Paso 2
Escoge dos de tu uñas en las que quieres aplicar las conchas de mar trituradas y aplica el pegamento sobre el esmalte.
Paso 3
El kit de uñas de Ciate viene con su propia bandeja, asi que sostiene tus dos uñas con pegamento encima y gentilmente ve echando las conchas trituradas encima. Una vez que las uñas ya estén cubiertas presiona suavemente las conchas para asegurarlas en la uña. Si no te sientes muy segura de que se hayan pegado bien, entonces aplica otra capa de pegamento encima.
Paso 4
El kit de Ciate también trae un pequeño embudo para que no desperdicies nada y vuelvas a meter todo lo que te sobro dentro de la envase de nuevo cuando hayas terminado. Esto es excelente así puedes guardar la conchas de mar para volverlo usar de nuevo y si desperdiciar nada!
Paso 5
Por último, aplicamos una capa de brillo en todas las uñas. Pinta primero las que no tienen las conchas de mar para no vayas a desprenderlas accidentalmente. Deja que pasen al menos 15 minutos para la conchas se sequen bien y después aplica el brillo.
Y este es el resultado! Este manicure inspirado en la playa es tan chic que todas nos queda bien y es perfecto para esta temporada de verano intenso!

This week I wanted to do an ocean inspired manicure using actual crushed seashells! I got this amazing shell nail art kit from tiendas Xtra and this was the opportunity to give it a try and give it our own twist. If you don’t have the Ciate nail art kit, you can probably find similar crushed shells at your local craft store as well or use some glitter!

Materials:
Ciate Shell Nail Art Kit
Nude Nail Polish (Essie “Spin The Bottle”)
Blue Glitter Polish (Zoya “MOSHEEN”)
Nail Glue
Top Coat (NCLA “Gloss It!”)
Directions:
Step 1
Paint one accent nail with your blue glitter nail polish and then the rest of your nails with your nude color. The blue glitter is reminiscent of the ocean water and the nude is a great color to match the sand at the beach!
Step 2
Pick two nails that you want the crushed shells to be on and apply nail glue to them over the polish.
Step 3
The Ciate nail kit comes with a clear tray, so hold your two glued nails over the tray and gently pour the crushed shells on top. Once the nails are fully covered gently press in the shells to secure them onto the nail. If you really want to ensure that the shells stay in place, feel free to apply another thin coat of glue on top of the nails.
Step 4
The Ciate kit also comes with a tiny funnel so that you can pour the shells back into the bottle once you are done. This is great so that you can save the shells for another application and there is essentially no mess!
Step 5
Lastly, apply a top coat to all of your nails. Paint top coat on to the non shelled nails first to ensure that you don’t accidentally drag any shells on to the polish only nails. Allow 15 mins to dry just to make sure that you don’t lose any of the shells!
And there you have it! This beach inspired manicure is so chic that anyone can pull it off and is perfect for this summer season!
